Join Juliette for a day of sculpting the head with clay. For this one-day class we will be sculpting multiple head forms by learning about the proportions of the face as well as how to create facial features. We’ll be working with a groggy mid-fire clay so that we can build quickly. The goal is to build a 1/2 scale head, adding features in proportion to the head. For intermediate level students.

Class fee: $155/member $173/non-member

Additional Costs: $20 supplies fee to be paid to instructor in class.

About the Instructor

Through ceramic figurative sculpture, Juliette Ripley-Dunkelberger conveys her personal life experiences; translating physical and emotional sensations into visual representations. She works to make the invisible human experience visible. Mrs. Ripley-Dunkelberger has been a ceramic sculptor for over 20 years with work found in in regional galleries, shows, and private collections. She enjoys working with youth and adults alike, teaching ceramic technique and creative thinking.
