Mask Making – Sculpting and Casting – January 26 &27

$225.00

Saturday & Sunday, January 26 & 27, 10-am-4pm

Instructor: Gail Baker

This weekend workshop will teach you to sculpt and cast leather masks with instructor Gail Baker.

Mask Making for the Adventurous. Leather

A workshop unlike any other in the state! Make a leather mask you can wear for Fat Tuesday, New Year’s Eve, Halloween, or to the grocery store. I learned to do this in an art therapy class in graduate school. It’s a slow, sensuous process, definitely not for anyone who wants a fast process. Students will make unique wearable art based on the mask process of Commedia del’Arte in Italy.
