Instructor: Gail Baker

Location: ArtEast Art Center – 95 Front Street North, Issaquah, WA 98027

The goal of this workshop is to stretch students’ approach to collaging.  We will create several pieces of paste painted, gelli-printed paper and use them as collage design elements. Paste paper technique involves drawing into a gooey paint mixture with various implements to create patterns. Gelli plate printing pushes the limits of simple monoprinting. Tearing and cutting those papers and adhering them onto a backing yields a rich language of texture, color, and design.
