Monday-Friday, Aug 13-17, 9am–12pm

Take part in this creative adventure making abstract and expressive art. Paint with your fingers, palette knives and brushes using watercolors and acrylics. Collage materials to create dynamic art pieces. Challenge yourself by using alternative tools and methods to make fresh art.

Learn how layers, textures and patterns add dimension to your work. Explore a variety of methods, techniques and prompts that will inspire you to find your voice and your unique style.

All materials included.

Each student needs to wear studio appropriate clothing. Please bring a nut-free snack and labeled water bottle to each class.

No prerequisites. Class designed for all experience levels.
Location: ArtEast Art Center

Stay All Day! Register for both morning and afternoon summer camps and stay from 9am to 4pm each day. Remember to bring a sack lunch.

Optional Lunch Bunch available from 12-1pm. Cost is $30 for the week. (If enrolling in both AM & PM camps, then Lunch Bunch fee is waived). MEALS NOT PROVIDED.

About the Instructor

Priyanka is a self-taught abstract artist who lives in the beautiful city of Issaquah.  She was born in central India surrounded with vibrant colors everywhere. Drawing has been a part of her life since early childhood. In 2007, she relocated to Los Angeles where she found her art mentor and started her journey all over again. She immersed deeper in studying art and exploring her unique path. She started teaching art in 2012 when she moved to Seattle.  

She is the founder of Crimson Canvas Arts where she offers “After School Art Enrichment” programs for public schools. In the past 6 years, Priyanka has carved out a unique abstract style that is bold and vibrant, using organic shapes and bright cheerful colors.  Her original paintings are acrylic on canvas made mostly with knives and bare hands.
