Tuesdays, September 4 – 25, 10am – 12pm

Instructor: Pamela Poirier

Acrylic paints are a wonderful medium for landscapes! They are water-based allowing you to apply thin washes, or use them in an opaque, painterly approach. Acrylics dry quickly and are waterproof allowing you to layer each coat to build up areas on on your canvas or panel, then work in details with thicker paint to achieve greater depth and realism.

Learn color theory, composition and drawing with a brush. Several “fun” techniques will be taught in this course ranging from delicate blending to creative effects, even using acrylics as an under-painting for oils.

Designed for beginners to advanced painters who want to achieve realistic skies and landscapes.
