Gail Baker is a professional artist who received her MA in Psychology of Creative Expression from Sophia University. She has taught children and adults in private and public settings in Washington, California, and Alaska for over 30 years. As part of Alaska’s Art Education Consortium, she taught teachers how to integrate visual arts with education standards.
Gail’s paintings and arashi shibori pleated silk scarves show at our retail gallery as well as galleries in Homer and Anchorage, Alaska, and Bellevue Art Museum.
She teaches somatic visual journaling, drawing, and painting. Gail’s main goal is to encourage students to trust themselves, explore, and ENJOY creating original, unique pieces — to find the excitement, depth, and joy of their own unique creativity.
