A Year of Roses: An Accidental Spiritual Pilgrimage

June 20 – August 6, 2018 ArtEast Art Center

Curator: Jenifer Wright

Opening Reception and Mobile Studio Tour: Saturday, June 23, 6pm-8pm

Artist Talk: Saturday, July 7, 6pm-8pm

Local Artist, Carrie Schmitt, created her collection based on her act of giving a rose to a stranger every day for a year as she listened to an inner voice telling her to “follow the roses”.  This daily practice and encounters transformed Carrie’s relationship with creativity and her approach to the canvas.
