Student and Waiver Policies

Participation in our registration process implies that you have read and agree to these policies.

Age Policy

At this time, our workshops are only offered to adults. Anyone under the age of 18 requires permission from the instructor, as well as parental or guardian consent.

Cancellation Policy

artEAST reserves the right to cancel workshops due to insufficient enrollment. In the event of a cancellation, students will be notified and full tuition will be refunded.

Withdrawals/Refund Policy

A student must notify artEAST by email at education@arteast.org of intent to withdraw.  If a student notifies artEAST at least one week (7 days) prior to the workshop start date, the student will receive a full refund or credit of workshop tuition, less a $10 withdrawal fee. Registrants who withdraw from a workshop after the seven (7) day withdrawal deadline will receive a 50% credit towards their next workshop, which must be used within one (1) year.

PLEASE NOTE: NO portion of workshop tuition will be refunded or credited after the start of the first session. If a workshop is canceled by artEAST, a full refund of tuition and fees will be issued.

Confirmations

Workshop spaces will be filled in order of receipt of payment by the education committee.  Registrants will receive an emailed confirmation when payment is received and processed.  NO OTHER CONFIRMATIONS WILL BE SENT. Unless otherwise notified via phone or email, workshops will start on the days, dates, and times listed. If a workshop fills before artEAST receives your payment, all monies will be refunded.

Supply Lists

Instructor Supply Lists are posted on each workshop page of the website for all workshops that have them. Students are responsible for reviewing the supply list.

Publicity Policy

artEAST reserves the right to use photos taken during workshops and other programs. Registration in a workshop gives artEAST permission to use that image without limitation, obligation, or further consent.

Right of Refusal

artEAST reserves the unconditional right to refuse sales, service, registration and / or participation to any person or group for any non-discriminatory reason.

Disruptive or Inappropriate Behavior

At the discretion of the instructor or Art Center staff, any student disrupting the workshop and/or exhibiting inappropriate behavior will be asked by the instructor or Art Center staff to leave the workshop and will not be entitled to receive any refund.

Non-Discrimination Policy

artEAST does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, national origin, sex, marital status, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected status.

Waiver Policy

Participation in the registration submission process and/or subsequent use of the artEAST Art Center facility, tools, equipment and materials implies that the student hereby discharges and forever holds harmless artEAST Art Center, artEAST, UP Front Gallery, and any of artEAST’s satellite locations, along with their staff, sponsors, and volunteers, including all properties and funding agencies et al. for any injury, illness, death, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned for any reason whatsoever, including prior to, during the course of, and/or after said student’s participation in the workshop.
