Social Media Manager

Volunteer Position: 5 Hours/Month

Post artEAST information to Facebook, Twitter and other appropriate social media sites.   Work with marketing team to develop social media marketing strategy. Sound like you? If you can help with this position, please email volunteer@arteast.org.


Coordinate with program managers, office and gallery managers, artists and photographers to keep track of artEAST events and activities and post on an ongoing and consistent basis.  Collaborate with the PR Manager and Webmaster to provide a consistent message to the world.  Although this is not always a visible position, it is a very important “public” one which represents the organization on a daily basis. Growing familiarity with the organization’s activities will result in the ability to strategize and plan ahead for posting and engaging on a regular basis.

  • Working knowledge of social media tools: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn.
  • Excellent communication skills for making consistent, concise, and engaging posts.
  • Basic photography skills.

Split between your home and the artEAST office.

Time Commitment
  • Relatively consistent schedule.  15-30 minutes/day, 3-5 times a week.  [Approximately 5 hours/month.]
