Grant Writer

Volunteer Position: 5–8 Hours/Month

Assist artEAST Executive Director in all aspects of grant management.  This includes researching grant opportunities, preparing grants for submittal, keeping timely and accurate reports for all existing grant-funded projects, and providing stewardship as required to current and possible new donors. Sound like you? If you can help with this position, please email volunteer@arteast.org.

Responsibilities

Responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals. Perform prospect research on foundations and corporations to evaluate prospects.  Gather information necessary to report on current grant programs. Working with artEAST Executive Director, provide stewardship to current and prospective donors. Maintain records in database and/or in paper files, including grant tracking and reporting.

Skills
  • Strong writer.
  • Knowledge of grant writing and reporting processes.
  • Organization and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with current and future funding organizations is desirable.
Location

Split between your home and the artEAST office

Time Commitment
  • Highly variable depending on grant cycles.  Normally between 5 and 8 hours per month.
