artEAST is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion of the visual arts in our community since 2004. We attract more than 10,000 visitors each year to
- Our gallery at 95 Front Street North in Issaquah
- Exhibitions at 95 Front Street North and Blakely Hall in the Issaquah Highlands
- Art education classes
- Free, family-friendly community events throughout Issaquah and the surrounding areas
We believe more visual art is a good thing, whether you make art, enjoy viewing it, learn more about it or expand art’s reach into the community.
A donation to artEAST is an investment in the visual arts and your community through the programs we offer.
Youth Programs – Because Engaged Youth Matters
Our youth camps and youth art series are designed to both allow youth to try different visual art forms to see what captures their interest and grow in visual art fields where they want to refine their craft. Our teaching artists work with each student to meet their needs and goals and provide opportunities for creative seeds to germinate, for ideas to become conceptualized, and for youth voices to be heard through their chosen visual arts mediums.
Art brings communities together and art brings families together. artEAST’s community event programs are free, family-friendly art opportunities at drop-in events and at festivals throughout the year. Each year, thousands of participants join in to paint, print, create with clay, fuse glass, learn to draw and experience the joy of creativity and community.
Adult Workshops and Classes
artEAST education activities include adult workshops and classes conducted by member artists. Workshops and classes range from short, one day experiences that allow participants to experience a new visual art form to skill enhancement courses for professional artists.
artEAST exhibitions and exhibition programming promote local artists. Each show has a theme designed to attract the community and spark learning – about the artists, visual art forms, or a specific topic. We curate 8-10 show a year.
