Fall at artEAST

October 2017

Fall is Here! The winds have started to kick up, rain and hail added excitement to Salmon Days this year. No matter what the weather outside, artEAST has you under its colorful umbrella with a wide range of art opportunities this fall. From the gallery to the classroom, we’ll bring art into your life this colorful season.

New Workshops Added this Fall

We’ve added two new glass fusing courses for beginners and gift making this fall. Instructor John Casey will be teaching Beginning Glass Fusing and Glass Pendants at our kiln annex, around the corner from the artEAST Gallery and Art Center.
Other beginning art courses include Ceramic Wheel ThrowingZentangle Introduction and Watercolor Cards. There are so many great opportunities for art this fall at artEAST. View the Complete Fall Schedule here. Register now and expand your love of art.

Issaquah Goes Apples
artEAST is proud to be part of Issaquah Goes Apples sponsored by the Downtown Issaquah Association. Thanks to everyone who participated in the Issaquah Goes Apples Art Exhibit this year. Artwork will be on display through November 13 at Fresh the Juice Bar, located at 90 Front St S. Winners may collect their prizes at artEAST during regular business hours.

Exhibits and Shows

Fantastical Worlds indulges our imaginations with artwork that offers an escape from reality that is extravagantly fanciful and takes the viewer on a magical mystery journey. There is a broad array of artwork that includes images of imaginary creatures and habitats, as well as distorted viewpoints from our own planet. on display now through November 8 at Blakely Hall.

 

artEAST is excited to partner with Pottery Northwest for an exhibition of functional, ceramic cups by Pottery Northwest’s resident artists and a juried selection of cups from artEAST members.Have a Cup of Creativity is on display at artEAST now through November 15.
