Did you know 1/3 of the earth is formed from dirt? Join us for Clay Time and turn dirt into pottery. You’ll learn techniques for hand building and applying glazes, while creating architectural, sculptural and functional pieces.

Holding a Teaching Artist Certificate from the University of the Arts, Instructor Sandra “Sam” Sinanan has taught art to students of all ages for over 10 years. With a special interest and passion for ceramics, she integrates nature and other disciplines into her art curricula. She provides age-appropriate guidance for every project while also encouraging creativity and self-expression.

All materials, glazes & firing included. Final pieces will be fired and ready for pick-up 2 weeks after the last class. Students age 11-16 should enroll in Teen Ceramics.

*Due to the nature of ceramics, there is no guarantee that the work will survive the firing process. Work left for more than four months will be cleaned out.

Each student needs to wear studio appropriate clothing.
All materials provided.

Class Fee: $110/members, $120/nonmembers

Prerequisite: none
Levels/Age: All/7–10
