Teen Illustration

Mondays, beginning October 9–304:30–6pm
(4 week sessions)
Ages 13–17

Instructor: Benjamin Wills

To illustrate is to exemplify a concept, to make an idea visible to better understand it. Illustration has historically been used as a decoration, interpretation or visual explanation of a text, concept or process. Illustrations are generally intended for published media, such as posters, flyers, magazines, books, teaching materials, animations, video games and films.

This workshop series is designed to allow the student a range of illustrative ‘problems’ to solve using many different styles and techniques, including drawing, painting, printmaking, and collage. The student will engage in several different projects including children’s book illustration, concept art, fashion illustration, information graphics, narrative illustration, and scientific illustration.

Now registering for October. Sessions begin October 9 and run through October 30.
