Teen Photography Summer Camp

Monday–Friday
1m–4pm, August 14–18
Ages 11–17

Instructor: Larissa Herbert

Have fun experimenting by taking digital photos from different perspectives: up high, down low, getting close, stepping back, moving around the subject to photograph it from different sides… Find a point of interest or focal point before taking the picture and learn how to highlight it. Learn the Rule of Thirds and how to use their intersecting points, plus how to placing the subject off-center creates a more visual appealing image.
We will cover exposure and lighting. How some light can create a dramatic effect while other types of lighting is used to highlight different parts of the image. Getting the right exposure of the image can be tricky, not too dark and not too light, so the image has the best possible details in the highlights and the shadows to be just right.

Please bring a nut-free snack and labeled water bottle to each class.

Optional Lunch Bunch available from 12-1pm. Cost is $30 for the week. (If enrolling in both AM & PM camps, then Lunch Bunch fee is waived). Please bring a nut–free sack lunch. MEALS NOT PROVIDED.
