Friday February 5, 6–9 pm
First art walk of the season! If you’re on the Downtown Issaquah Association’s First Friday Wine Walk, please stop in. If you have tickets, we’ll have local wine to taste. Wineries include Stomani Cellars, Micheal Florentino Winery, Pine Lake Cellars, Armstrong Family Winery, Wilridge Winery, Patterson Cellars and Flying Dreams Winery.
By now, you might already know the drill, but get tickets up at Hailstone Feed Co, 232 Front St, bring your own glass if you like, and follow the map. See complete details here. Don’t drink wine? Grab just a map and come anyway!
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the theme is chocolate. Our own Piper Peterson of Immaculate Confections will be in the gallery as our featured chocolatier. Featured artists in the back room this month are Vikram Madan and Jerry Kaufman,
As you make your way to the wine served in our classroom area, be sure to enjoy our current exhibition, Any Umbrellas, shown together with more art from our Blakely Hall show, Call of the Clouds. Many of our local artists will be on hand to help you get a taste of the inner workings of their art. Feel free to ask them lots of questions!
Our musical guest will be Larry Murante. This Seattle-based musician has a reputation as one of the finest contemporary singer-songwriters to emerge from the Northwest in recent years. His beautifully-woven stories about everyday folk, set to song, combine compassionate, socially conscious lyrics and a joyful, energetic folk/rock style.
