Colored pencils, graphite, acrylics, photography
On display in our retail gallery
A budding artist, Ekta Gupta started drawing in 2010. Colored pencils are her preferred medium, but she also likes to work with graphite, and enjoys experimenting with pen and ink, pastels, charcoal, acrylics and chalk. She was introduced to photography as the need arose for reference pictures for her artwork. It has turned into a full blown passion and she rarely steps out without her camera around her neck.
Born in India, she has been living in the U.S. for almost three decades. Mostly a self-taught artist, she has been fortunate enough to have received instruction from artists such as Margaret Davidson and Kathleen Mckeehen at the Gage Academy of Art in Seattle, and Dayne Dudley in Tulsa, OK. Her work has been featured in Courageous Creativity, and Ann Kullberg’s Colored Pencil Magazine. She has also shown her work at local galleries. She is a member of the Colored Pencil Society of America.
