Bob Prowda

Bob Prowda. Photo by Hilling DesignBob Prowda joined our Board in 2007 and serves as the president.

Bob has been involved in other art organizations in Seattle and Portland during his career in marketing. He has been a marketing consultant or marketing director for over 40 years, with most of those years spent improving the convenience and ease of use of public transportation service in cities large and small.  His career includes directing public transit projects around the US involving branding, strategic marketing planning, consumer research and graphic design.  These include the development of the brands for Sound Transit and King County’s Rapid Ride.

As Director of Marketing for Portland’s Tri-Met he helped develop and launch light rail transit, the nationally recognized Portland Mall, and the nation’s first self service fare system.  In Portland he was on the Board of ArtQuake, a three-day festival of the arts drawing tens of thousands of people to Portland’s streets and art venues.

Bob retired two years ago from his role as a principal of a marketing and design firm and has embraced metal arts with gusto.
