Sammamish Arts Fair

Sammamish City Hall & Library
October 12–13, 2013, 10am–5pm

Sammamish Arts FairOur annual Arts Fair is now in its seventh year! It has grown in reputation each year and will feature some of the best jury selected local artists in our area, 17 of which live in Sammamish.

Come and visit with the artists, see their work and learn about their creative process. Inside the City Hall building, the highest quality and variety of fine art will be available for purchase, and will include original works of art such as; paintings, jewelry, mixed media, encaustic art, glass arts, ceramics, printmaking, woodcarving, photography and textile art.

We aim to recognize and support our talented young artists in the community, and new this year we are proud to welcome 10 artists to our Student Booth,

In the adjacent Sammamish Library there will be an exciting program of Arts Encounters, which will include performance artists, hands on family arts activities and projects during the fair weekend.   Linking the Library and City Hall will be an Artists Interactive Walkway Project.

Our Artists will each put together a “musical” device that our visitors can “clatter and bang” their way along the path. This Project will be made from recycled / repurposed metal objects, and there will be a bucket of cooking utensils at each end to use as the banging stick.  After experiencing the interactive walkway, visitors will have a chance to vote for their favorite piece. Bellevue Art Museum has kindly donated a Family Membership for the artist with the most votes.

The Arts Fair is a community-wide cultural art experience, which is produced in partnership with the participating Artists and the Sammamish Arts Commission. Sponsorship is gratefully received from the City of Sammamish, the Sammamish Arts Commission and 4Culture. Admission is free.
