Wondrous Stories

September 13–October 19, 2013
Opening Reception: Friday September 13, 6–8 pm

wondrous-stories-card Please join us for Wondrous Stories, a narrative art exhibition.

A visual form of storytelling, narrative art is a unique way for artists to converse with viewers. Through art images and three-dimensional forms which capture a fleeting moment in time, a narrative years in the making, or something in between, this show speaks volumes without saying a word. Wondrous Stories brings you depth and dimension in a different way. Come see the stories our artists have to tell.

Curator Leslie Nan Moon brought even more of her own story into the exhibit by calling on her parents as co-jurors. She grew up surrounded by art: her mother Sharon Stein is a sculptor and dad Barry Stein has always had a passion for photography. They were all delighted with the breadth of the submissions and the difficulty in narrowing down their choices.

Participating artists: Karen Abel, J Edward Adams, Gail S Baker, Paula Blasius McHugh, Gale Corkey, Katalin Fazekas, Jacquelyn Fedyk, Cathy Fields, Krista Forsyth Fisher, Eliza Furmansky, Ekta Gupta, Barbara Hennig, Pamela Holderman, Jeremy Hurd, Lily Idle, Anne LaFever, James M Lilly, Ted Loomis, Pam Lustig, Vikram Madan, Maureen Mitchell, Leslie Nan Moon, Beth Moore, Liz Ruest, Michelle Sidnie Ryan, Judy Salas, Amy Weber-Cantrell
