artEAST Rookery Project: AE008

Erika by Carol Ross

Erika by Carol Ross, a member of the artEAST Rookery heron flockCarol Ross‘s heron, Erika, is made from Japanese paper, natural amber shellac, wire, and metal.

Each amber disk holds an image of Erika’s recent meals: fish bones, bugs, clams, frogs and rabbits. Carol gives us a biology lesson with the slightly dark twist she is famous for.

She is 37″ tall and not suitable for outdoor display.

Erika is SOLD — thank you!
