Driven to Abstraction

September 2 – 24, 2011 curated by Anna Macrae

Driven to Abstraction: September 2011 exhibition at artEAST Art CenterDriven to Abstraction brings together a group of artist, unknown to each other, but traveling a similar
journey of personal discovery. This exhibition gives us a glimpse into their individual process of self expression and emotional response. As artists, they each demonstrate how they interpret their everyday influences into creating wonderful artwork for us to enjoy.

Both 2 and 3 dimensional work has been selected to showcase the artists’ inner passion for creating abstraction through their own unique use of this visual language of color, shape and form.

Curator: Anna Macrae, Abstract Expressionist Artist

Participating Artists: Al Zold, Tina Carter, Kathryn Bischak, Tyler Kimball, Yvette Neumann, Bruce Savadow, Susanne Werner, Betty Hageman, Susan Melrath, Kathy Hogan, Joan Mamelok, Lynne Rigby, Lucia Neagu, Gwendolyn Kearns, Gary Greene, Anne Anderson, Anna Macrae, Hannah Viano
